| Description | : | The Protestant Congregation of Montreal was the predecessor of the Christ Church Cathedral congregation. Their burial ground was in use from 1760 until 1814. It was located southeast of the wall that marked the northwest boundary of old Montréal (now Fortifications Alley), somewhere between Saint Francis Xavier Street (rue Saint François Xavier) and present-day Victoria Square. ════════════════════════════════════════ ▫ Years of use: From 1760 until 1814. ▫ Disposition: Destroyed. ════════════════════════════════════════ There are no remaining markers. Any human remains would have been beneath the foundations of buildings on the northwest side of Saint James Street (rue Saint Jacques). |
