Description	:	The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin in Sarby (formerly Schreibendorf) was first mentioned in 1335. The building was enlarged in the 17th and 18th century, but by the late 19th century it was in a poor condition and it was decided to replace the structure. A new brick neo-Gothic church was completed in 1884. Prior to WWII the church belonged to the Protestant church, but after the war the Catholic Church assumed ownership of the property.
