It is accessed through permission from Paul Peterson to cross his land to a grove of trees along the creek. The land it is on is about an acre, and it is owned by the Methodist Episcopal Church. It is accessed through permission from Paul Peterson to cross his land to a grove of trees along the creek. The land it is on is about an acre, and it is owned by the Methodist Episcopal Church. Originally attached to the Thomas Meeting House sometime before 1788, the Meeting House ceased operations about 1871. During its 87+ years of existence it was known for the piety and zeal of its early membership, as well as for the beneficial results that, in early times, extended from it, as a great religious center in every direction. Among the first members of the Thomas Meeting House were Owen Thomas and his excellent wife.
