Description : The Protestant Church in Twardocice (formerly Harpersdorf) was built from 1701-1727 to serve Protestants from the neighboring Duchy of Jauer, where Protestant worship was forbidden. The church was one of the largest in Silesia, boasting 2,400 seats; however, after WWII the church was abandoned and left to ruin. The church was surrounded by a graveyard, little evidence of which is left. There is also a burial crypt under the church, which was ransacked during and after WWII, and is today in disarray, though it still contains many old coffins.
