Description : Samuel Vittitoe and his wife Ellen moved from Kentucky to Grayson County, Texas and in January of 1852 they purchased three hundred and sixty six acres of land from Enoch M Jones. It is believed that the undated headstone of their son Frank marks the first grave in the family plot that became the public Vittitoe Cemetery 25 years later. The four undated stones that sit in a row are Ellen, Frank, Samuel and Black Mammie.
