Description	:	Harold Larson the son of Carl Albin and Sophia ( Pulec) Larson was born May 26, 1926 on a farm Southeast of Edgar, NE in Clay County. He departed this life on Tuesday January 1, 2008 at the Rose Brook Care Center in Edgar, Nebraska at the age of 81 years. As a young boy Harold attended Branstitre rural school and Edgar High School. He departed this life on Tuesday January 1, 2008 at the Rose Brook Care Center in Edgar, Nebraska at the age of 81 years. As a young boy Harold attended Branstitre rural school and Edgar High School. Harold served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War, while in the service Harold received the Bronze Star. He was honorably discharged on July 5, 1952. Harold returned to the Edgar area and made farming his life's work. On December 6, 1960 Harold was united in marriage to Almeta Ashby at Clay Center, Nebraska. This union was blessed with the birth of one daughter Denise. Harold had been a 50 year member of the Edgar American Legion Post#248. Harold always looked forward to having coffee every day with his friends in Edgar. Harold's only hobby and life's passion was that for his job…farming. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Almeta on July 19, 1993, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors include his daughter Denise Valentine and husband Darwin of Glenvil, NE; sister Kari Hutchinson of Fair Oaks, CA; step daughter Ritta Hagemeyer of Columbia, MO; step son Larry Blackburn of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren Laura Ochsner and husband Clint and Tyler Valentine; 4 step grandchildren, 11 step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held this Friday 10:00 AM, January 4, 2008 at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Edgar, Nebraska. Pastor Renee Johnson will be officiating. Burial with military honors will be held in the Edgar Cemetery by Edgar American Legion Post #248.
