Brown, was born at Evansville, Ind., March 22, 1864, and passed away at his home in Keosauqua April 9, 1942, aged 78 years and 18 days. When a young man he came with his parents to Keosauqua where he made his home ever since. On July 1888, he was united in marriage with Ella Cristler. Read More	**Handwritten: Rec-Rep 16 April 1942 AARON MILLARD BROWN Aaron Millard, son of Emerson and Mary E. Brown, was born at Evansville, Ind., March 22, 1864, and passed away at his home in Keosauqua April 9, 1942, aged 78 years and 18 days. When a young man he came with his parents to Keosauqua where he made his home ever since. On July 1888, he was united in marriage with Ella Cristler. To this union three children were born, two of whom, Hollis Aaron and Iva May, preceded him in death. During his active life Mr. Brown engaged in the contracting business and for some 25 years operated a bus and dray line in Keosauqua. Though he had been in failing health for a number of years he refused to own defeat and by sheer strength and courage of his will has been up and about until about a month ago. Mr. Brown, affectionately known as "Tammy" Brown to his many friends, was a good man, loved and esteemed by all who knew him. He was converted during the A.K. Harper meetings some ten or twelve years ago and united with the Methodist church where he maintained his membership and remained a brother beloved until the time of his death. He is survived by his wife and daughter, Dorothy, of Keosauqua, a number of other relatives and a host of friends, among whom he will be sadly missed. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. C.H. Orf, were held from the Keosauqua Methodist church Sunday afternoon, April 12, 1942. Interment was in Oak Lawn cemetery at Keosauqua. Source: Van Buren Co.
