Description	:	Aaron McLaughlin, residing at Goldsmith, died at his home about 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon of cancer of the face from which he had been suffering for three years. Mr. McLaughlin was born in Logan county, Ohio, and at the time of death was 75 years, 3 months, and 8 days old. He was the son of James McLaughlin, a native of Scotland, and Mary (Parker) McLaughlin of Logan county, Ohio. His father came to this country and settled at Bellefountaine, Ohio. Mr. McLaughlin was born in Logan county, Ohio, and at the time of death was 75 years, 3 months, and 8 days old. He was the son of James McLaughlin, a native of Scotland, and Mary (Parker) McLaughlin of Logan county, Ohio. His father came to this country and settled at Bellefountaine, Ohio. The parents died in Logan county, Ohio. Mr. McLaughlin was united in marriage to Miss Martha Galloway, in Logan county, December 16 1869, and the following year they came to Tipton county and settled on the farm near the present home of his son, Frank McLaughlin, west of Tipton. Five children were born to their union and all of them, with the wife survive the husband and father. They are: Maggie, wife of O.G. Carter; Effie McLaughlin; Lela, wife of Ad Bouse, of Goldsmith; Alice, wife of John Smith, of Tipton; and Frank McLaughlin, west of Tipton. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. Effie Haffner, of Bellefountaine, Ohio; and four brothers, Duncan and Charles McLaughlin of Bellefountaine, Ohio; Robert, somewhere in Michigan; and Burl, of Marysville, Ohio. Mr. McLaughlin was a member of the Presbyterian church at Tipton and was one of the honored and respected citizens of the county. No funeral arrangements have been made at the time of going to press, but will be some time Monday at the Presbyterian church and conducted by the pastor, Rev. Homer Campbell with burial at Fairview cemetery.
