Mrs. McLaughlin leaves five children to mourn her loss; Mrs. O.G. Carter and Mrs. Effe Steinhilbert, of Goldsmith; Mrs. J.T. Smith, of North Oak street, Tipton; Mrs. Lela House, of Kokomo; and Frank McLaughlin, west of Tipton in the independence vicinity. She is also survived by ten grandchildren. Mrs. McLaughlin was the daughter of John and Isabel (Buick) Galloway, and was born in Green county, Ohio, September 16, 1849. She was a sister of the late Mrs. William G. Nash and is the last member of the family. The deceased was married on December 21, 1869, to Aaron McLaughlin, whose death occurred about four years ago, the marriage taking place in Ohio. Following their marriage, they resided for one year in Beliefontaine, Ohio and later removing to Tipton county, locating on the farm now owned by Dr. F. M. Hopper, of this city. Three years later they removed to the McLaughlin farm, and for the past twenty years they have been residing in Goldsmith. Mrs. McLaughlin had been a member of the Presbyterian church for the past fifty years and for years was one of the active members of the congregation. She was a woman of beautiful character, motherly and friendly, and a neighbor esteemed and loved by all and her passing is a matter of sincere regret to her multitude of friends. Funeral services will be conducted at the Methodist church in Goldsmith Tuesday afternoon at 1:30. Rev. H.G. Wilkinson, of Tipton, and Rev. C.E.Dunlap, of Goldsmith, officiating, and burial will be in Fairview cemetery, in this city, beside the remains of her late husband
