He married his 1st cousin Mary Ann Stocker, the daughter of Daniel Stocker & Christina Stenger, in Tuscarawas in November 1830. About 1846 Daniel Stocker and seven of his eight children, their spouses and families, migrated to Iowa, settling in Appanoose, Wapello and Monroe counties.
