Description	:	Son of A. & L.E. Edwards Killed in Battle at age 23y 3m 6d Abel enlisted in Co. C, 13th IA Inf, 28 Sept 1861. The Company was formed in Lucas Co. IA, and included several men from the Norwood area including Elias Mills who later married Abel's sister Elizabeth. They mustered into service 28 Oct 1861 at Keokuk, IA. Grant; aka Battle of Pittsburg Landing. Abel was shot in the lungs and removed to the 4th Street Military Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. He survived the wound for two weeks. A memorial was created for him here on his mother's headstone in the family cemetery in Lucas Co. IA. -- by Kathy S. 1-23-2011 This is a cenotaph. Abel's military memorial is in Spring Grove Cemetery where he is buried in Lot A, Sec. 21, Grave 168. Rufas Kevin Guy (contributor 46886706) created that memorial from an online cemetery list which for 4 years remained void of any info but a death date and misspelled first name. I researched and wrote Uncle Abel's bio and submitted to K Guy on 1-23-2011 with links to the family and live link to this cenotaph. Mr. Guy refused to post the signed bio, plagiarized it adding empty words and no new info, quoting word-for-word rearranged, and posted claiming it as his own bio. I wonder how he would feel if someone took his artwork and put their name on it.
