Description	:	From an unknown newspaper dated 23 Sept 1904: Abi Ramsey Frankforth was born at Gilman, March 21, 1870, and died at her father's home in Grinnell Sept. 19, 1904. Her happy childhood was passed with her parents and sisters and two brothers at their beautiful farm home near Gilman. Read More	From an unknown newspaper dated 23 Sept 1904: Abi Ramsey Frankforth was born at Gilman, March 21, 1870, and died at her father's home in Grinnell Sept. 19, 1904. Her happy childhood was passed with her parents and sisters and two brothers at their beautiful farm home near Gilman. Her sweet disposition cast a cheerful, loving influence over the lives of those around her, making her to all a bright ray of sunshine. Her kind, gentle, thoughtful manner made her a general favorite and she was greatly beloved by all who knew her. At an early age she united with the Congregational Church of Gilman and was one of its active members and inspired those around her with a desire to do right and perform duty for duty's sake. On March 23, 1892, she was united in marriage to J. N. Farnsworth and spent a number of years on the farm near her childhood home, but failing health came on and they moved to their home near Grinnell hoping that less home cares would be helpful to her. But the dread disease still preyed upon her and again her loving husband, hoping that a change of climate would restore the wasted form to its former health and beauty, moved to California and for a time the change seemed to be helpful but the disease was too deep seated and they returned to Iowa where she passed away September 19, 1904. She died trusting in the Saviour whom she had publicly confessed and with full assurance of her acceptance with God through Christ. He giveth his beloved sleep. She leaves a husband, two daughters, a father, two brothers, a sister, and a host of friends to mourn her loss. The funeral sermon was preached by her former pastor Rev. R.F. Lavender of Newton and her remains laid to rest beside her mother and a brother in Fairview [sic] cemetery, Gilman. Transcribed and added 15 March 2018
