Mrs. Whynotte was 88, and during her illness was tenderly cared for by her daughter, Alma, and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Demone, Springfield. Mrs. Whynotte was 88, and during her illness was tenderly cared for by her daughter, Alma, and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Demone, Springfield. For some years, she had resided with a grandson, Louis Whynotte, in the old home in North River, previous to her illness. Surviving are three daughters, Alma (Mrs. Demone); Effie (Mrs. A. Iyoupe), of New Cornwall; Freda (Mrs. Michael Gabriel), of North River; three sons, Martin and Harold of North River and Irving of Boston. Also surviving are 35 grandchildren and 68 great-grandchildren; and five brothers, Lorrimer, Carey, and Pearlie, all of North river; Maynard of New Ross; and Oran, Falkland Ridge. Several sisters predeceased her. Funeral services were held in North River Lutheran Church on Saturday afternoon, October 5, by Rev. Mr. O'Connor. Hymns by the choir were "Nearer, My God, to Thee" and "There is a Land of Pure Delight." Mrs. Rufus Robar was organist. Pallbearers were Garfield Conrad, Ladonia Selig, Leander Robar, and Gordon Simmons. The floral tributes were man yand beautiful and much appreciated by Mrs. Vernon Demone and other members of the family. Burial was in North River Cemetery. Sympathy is expressed to all bereaved.
