Born in North River on April 9, 1896, he was a son of the late Henry and Sarah (Acker) Demone. He worked for Bowater Mersey for a number of years. He was a veteran of the First World War and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North River. He is survived by a step-son, Fred Demone, Meisner's Section; and two step-grandchildren. The body is in Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany. Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North River, Rev. Richard Weaver officiating. Burial in church cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North River.
