Description	:	Abner William COX was a son of Judson Mildon COX and Martha Rebecca (BEECHLEY) COX. He was born in Kansas in 1897. In 1916 the Cox family left their homestead in Kansas and moved to Hall, WA which no longer exists in Washington State. Abner's career was in the logging industry and often climbed up 250 foot trees to top them off. Read More	Abner William COX was a son of Judson Mildon COX and Martha Rebecca (BEECHLEY) COX. He was born in Kansas in 1897. In 1916 the Cox family left their homestead in Kansas and moved to Hall, WA which no longer exists in Washington State. Abner's career was in the logging industry and often climbed up 250 foot trees to top them off. Abner and his father built Abner's home in Amboy, WA so that in 1920 he could marry Maude Catherine ELLISON. They had 2 children Leroy and Mary Martha. Abner was the tallest man around, almost like the trees he topped. He loved hunting, fishing on the nearby lake, and played fiddle at many barn dances. He was such a great hunter that the porch in the front of his house was covered by many mounted racks of deer antlers. He loved eating from his numerous blueberry bushes and in the 1970s he raised opossums. He was a true outdoorsman, loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
