Coe, 70 and his wife Adeline Coe, 74 will be held this afternoon from the Copeland Baptist Church, and will be conducted by the Rev. Elmer Simpson, pastor of the Stony Knoll Methodist Church of which Mrs. Coe has been a consistent member for a number of years, assisted by Rev. James Creed, pastor of the Liberty Primitive Baptist Church of which Mr. Coe has been a member for several years. Interment will be made in the Copeland cemetery. For the past several months Mrs. Coe's health has been in a precarious condition and during the last weeks it has been realized that the end was not far away. The end came peacefully Sunday morning at 10:00 o'clock. Mr. Coe passed away yesterday following a brief illness of influenza. Mrs. Coe was a regular attendant at the Stony Knoll Methodist Church and took an active interest in all of its activities as long as her strength permitted. He was a highly regarded farmer and was a man of prominence in the affairs of his community and the news of his death and that of his wife was heard with genuine regret. (Bio by: K. Ned Beasley).
