Description	:	Adeline Elizabeth Rees, daughter of John and Rachel Rees, was born in Columbus, Ohio, September23, 1860. She died at her home in Delta, February 10, 1933, at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 17 days. She came to Iowa in 1889. On August 31, 1889, she was united in marriage to Silas Brainard. She died at her home in Delta, February 10, 1933, at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 17 days. She came to Iowa in 1889. On August 31, 1889, she was united in marriage to Silas Brainard. To this union one child was born, Lenora Reed of Delta. Mr. Brainard passed away 35 years ago. On January 10 1907, she was united in marriage to Charles D. Bennett. She was mother to four children of Silas Brainard by a former marriage, also, she was mother to six children by a former marriage of C. D. Bennett. Arthur Brainard of Minnesota; Horace of Delta; Mattie Olive of California and Mary Reed of Delta. Of the Bennett children, two have preceded her in death, Emily of Delta and John of Washington State. Of the living children, there are Mrs. Mary McMullen of Elwood, Kansas, Mrs. Minnie Reynolds of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Rachel Eastburn of Delta and Ned B. Bennett of Los Angeles, California. There is one living sister, Mrs. S. G. Wilson of Fort Dodge, Iowa. There are 24 Grandchildren and one great Grandchild. She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge and also of the White Shrine. She united with the Christian church 43 years ago under the ministry of the Rev. S. B. Ross at Delta. The funeral services were conducted from the Christian church Monday February 13, at 2:30 p.m. by the pastor of the church, Rev. W. R. Foster. The song services were conducted by Mrs. Dorothy Stirlen and Earl Houdek, with Mrs. Mae Greenlee at the piano. The pall bearers were Wilford Utterback, William Chandler, George Heming, Frank Kendall, Ellis Bowen and H. F. Reed. Honorary pall bearers from the Eastern Star Lodge were Mrs. Mira Root, Mrs. Dell Whisler, Mrs. McGuire, Mrs. Frank Kendall, Mrs. Abbie Snodgrass and Mrs. Charles Burt.
