Description	:	Adaline R. Abrahams, 96, of Newton, died Saturday (March 3, 3012) at the Kansas Christian Home in Newton. She was born on June 6, 1915 in _ Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Peter K. and Millicent Measer Funk. The family moved to a farm near Goessel, Kansas when she was an infant. Adaline graduated from Goessel High School. During World War II, she worked at the tent factory in Newton. She married Edward Allen Abrahams on October 2, 1945 in Newton. Survivors include two sons Barry Abrahams of Newton and Allen Abrahams of Oviedo, Fla.; one daughter Treva Brunner of Newton; one brother Howard Funk of Texas; one sister Zella White of San Bernadino, Calif.; four grandchildren Kim Giesen, Sean Brunner, Taisha Abrahams, and Stephanie Bortz; and five great grandchildren. Adaline is preceded in death by her parents; husband on April 7, 1991; and one brother Marion Funk. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday (March 7, 2012) at the Grace Community Church in Newton. Interment will be in the Restlawn Gardens of Memory. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 1pm til 9pm, where the family will receive friends between 6:30 and 8pm. A memorial has been established with World Impact and also Youth Horizons, contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, Ks. 67114.
