Description	:	Adam Lynn Wilson was the son of William Wilson (1791-1856) and Rachel Mills (1792-1873). His father was born in Washington Co., PA and died in Milan, Rock Island, Illinois. William was a veteran of the War of 1812. His mother was born in Fleming, Kentucky and died in Milan, Rock Island, Illinois. Adam was one of twelve children. Adam Wilson served during the Mexican-American War 25 Apr 1846-2 Feb 1848 in Co., K, 1st Reginment, Indiana Infantry. His Company fought in TX, NM, CA, northern, central & eastern Mexico & Mexico City. The War ended with The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. Adam Wilson was listed in the NE Roster of Veterans living in NE on 1 June 1891. He served in the Mexican War in K Company, Indiana Infantry as a musician per a book at the NE Historical Society. He was born in OH, lived in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, and lastly NE. He married Evaline R. Wassen (1816-1905) on 14 Nov. 1847 in Russellville, Putnam, OH. He was a blacksmith & a farmer. He is said to have drilled the first well in Fillmore Co., NE near Turkey Creek. In 1886 when living in Strang, NE, he was the Burlington Railroad Agent. Adam & Evaline had 5 children, Martha Ann (1848-1933), William David (1851-1922), John M. (1853-1929), George A. 1857-1885, and Owen C. Wilson (1860-1870).
