Description	:	Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Cool Funeral Home for Mrs. Addie McFarlin, who died at the home of Mrs. Edna Grajkowski last Thursday, Dec.1. Mrs. McFarlin was born Sept. 22, 1874, at Clarksville, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Endsley. At the time of her death she had reached the age of 86 years, two months, and eight days. Mrs. McFarlin came to South Dakota from Iowa at the age of eight years. Her parents were among the early settlers, and Addie well remembered the 1888 blizzard. Mrs. McFarlin was born Sept. 22, 1874, at Clarksville, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Endsley. At the time of her death she had reached the age of 86 years, two months, and eight days. Mrs. McFarlin came to South Dakota from Iowa at the age of eight years. Her parents were among the early settlers, and Addie well remembered the 1888 blizzard. She attended high school at Ward Academy and taught 11 terms of school. She made her home with her parents until her marriage to Joe McFarlin Jan. 27, 1920. They lived north of Platte a number of years until moving to Platte where Mr. McFarlin passed away March 9, 1939. In 1945 Mrs. McFarlin moved to Vancouver, Wash., to live near a sister, Mrs. Frank Brown. She came back to Platte May 13, 1950, and since then has made her home with Mrs. Grajkowski. Mrs. McFarlin had been in failing health for several months due to her age and a heart ailment, which was the cause of her death. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, and a brother. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Burial was in the Platte City Cemetery
