Description	:	Addie Irene Sterrett, daughter of Brinton and Anna (Stover) Sharp, was born March 30, 1887, near Armour, South Dakota. When she was a young girl she moved with her parents to Vail, Iowa, later moving to Dow City, Iowa, where she taught school until 1908. From Dow City she moved to Stanley County, South Dakota, where she took up a homestead. She lived in South Dakota for one year after her marriage to William B. Sterrett on October 19, 1909, in Pierre, South Dakota. They moved back to Dow City in 1910. She passed away... Read More	Addie Irene Sterrett, daughter of Brinton and Anna (Stover) Sharp, was born March 30, 1887, near Armour, South Dakota. When she was a young girl she moved with her parents to Vail, Iowa, later moving to Dow City, Iowa, where she taught school until 1908. From Dow City she moved to Stanley County, South Dakota, where she took up a homestead. She lived in South Dakota for one year after her marriage to William B. Sterrett on October 19, 1909, in Pierre, South Dakota. They moved back to Dow City in 1910. She passed away just two days before her 57th wedding anniversary, October 17, 1966, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services were held at the Anthon United Methodist Church with Rev. John Wallace officiating. Burial was made in Oak Hill Cemetery, Anthon. Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Vivian) Young of Correctionville, two sons, Duane of Worthington, Minnesota, and Gail of Anthon, five grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mabel Helenius of Aitken, Minnesota, and three brothers, Harry Sharp of Dow City, Dr. Floyd Sharp of Red Oak and Milford Sharp of Vancouver, Washington.
