Description	:	BRADLEY - Addie P. Bradley, 82, longtime Columbus resident and civic leader died Tuesday afternoon at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services will be 1_ a.m. Friday at St. Bonaventure Church with Rev. Flavius Czuba officiating. Graveside rites will be held in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery. She will lie in state after 2 p.m. Thursday at Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel and a rosary is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday. She was the widow of the later Elmer L. Bradley, longtime Columbus banker and civic leader who preceded Mrs. Bradley in death in August, 1977. Born near Chase in Chase County, Neb. on May 14, 1896, Mrs. Bradley was the daughter of the late Theodore Clark Spangler and Lizzie Benson. She attended grade school in Chase County and four years of high school at Hastings, Neb., graduating in June, 1913. She then taught rural schools in Chase County for three years and at grade schools at Imperial, Neb. She was elected County Superintendent of Chase County in December 1916 and held that position until June, 1920 when she resigned to marry Elmer Bradley of Shickley on June 30, 1920. Mr. and Mrs. Bradley moved to Columbus in 1938 when Mr. Bradley became president of the Columbus Bank and Trust Company. Mrs. Bradley was active in many civic and church affairs in Columbus. She was a member of St. Anne's and was an active member of the P.T.A. Her past associations have been with the American Legion Auxiliary, the Gray Ladies, Columbus Art Association and the St. Mary Hospital Auxiliary. She was an active member of the Leaf and Petal Garden Club until a few months before her death. Her hobby interests were varied. She was an active participant in photography, golf, genealogy, travel, nature study and oil and china painting. An avid nature lover, a hobby she shared with her late husband, she classified and catalogued more than eight hundred species of wild flowers and was, for many years, a counselor for nature merit badges for the Boy Scouts of America. She worked closely with youth groups in the Boy and Girl Scouts, and counseled chidren at the Opportunity Center. Survivors include sons, Elmer L. Jr. of Howells, Paul F. of Columbus and Thomas J. of Leigh; daughter, Mrs. Harold J. (Jean) Luchtel of Columbus. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Betty Bradley of Omaha.
