Description	:	Granbrae, Calif. - Addie Dorsey, also known as Dorsey Scott, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at Marin General Hospital in Granbrae. A memorial service will be June 20 at the Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. Her cremated remains will be strewn under the Golden Gate Bridge. Read More	Granbrae, Calif. - Addie Dorsey, also known as Dorsey Scott, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at Marin General Hospital in Granbrae. A memorial service will be June 20 at the Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. Her cremated remains will be strewn under the Golden Gate Bridge. Adeline "Addie" was the daughter of John and Lydia (Bender) Mehlhoff of Hosmer, S.D., where she graduated from high school. She received a bachelor's degree from Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D., and continued her music education at the University of Hawaii. She was a singer in light musicals, at military bases and clubs in Hawaii and Miami. She was a modeling teacher at John Robert Powers in San Francisco, and instructed classes at Charron Williams College and Healds Secretarial College. Addie published a book, "Famous Last Words," and wrote four screenplays. She was married to James Dorsey and had one son, John, who died Jan. 12, 1996. She, along with her special friend, Merle Akers, have traveled extensively. They lived in San Francisco, Tahoe City, Reno, and most recently in Mill Valley, Calif. Survivors include two sisters: Lenora Schick of Eureka, S.D., and Arlene Herrboldt of Hosmer; nieces; nephews; and her longtime companion, Merle Akers.
