Description	:	Adeline Kuipers, 92, of Platte, SD passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 at Platte Care Center Avera. Adeline Kuipers was born to Albert and Dena (Meyerink) Kuipers at the family farm near Platte, SD on September 4, 1922. She was the third child, with seven more siblings to follow. Adeline was baptized in the Platte Christian Reformed Church, where she later professed her faith. She attended Old Platte School where she graduated from 8th grade. Read More	Adeline Kuipers, 92, of Platte, SD passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 at Platte Care Center Avera. Adeline Kuipers was born to Albert and Dena (Meyerink) Kuipers at the family farm near Platte, SD on September 4, 1922. She was the third child, with seven more siblings to follow. Adeline was baptized in the Platte Christian Reformed Church, where she later professed her faith. She attended Old Platte School where she graduated from 8th grade. Adeline worked on the family farm helping with gardening, canning, housekeeping, baking, picking corn, milking cows and caring for her younger siblings. As an adult, Adeline worked a variety of jobs. Among these were helping families with newborn babies, making airplane parts at Keeler Brass in Michigan, working at a Colorado factory, painting and wall-papering homes around Platte, cleaning pheasants in the fall and housekeeping at the Platte Nursing Home for many years. Adeline showed her love of life and love of God in everything she did. This was particularly evident in the tender-loving care she provided to her mother as she was dying from cancer, to her sister Nina in her years following a disabling stroke, and to her aging father. Adeline enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening, and playing the harmonica and accordion. She loved her many nieces and nephews. As the host of her large extended family after Sunday morning worship, Adeline baked countless cakes and cookies. A lifetime member of the Platte Christian Reformed Church, she also participated in Magdalenes and Coffee Break Bible Study. Grateful for having shared in Adeline’s life: a sister, Allis (Marion) Hansum; three brothers: Lloyd (Virginia) Kuipers, Marion (Marie) Kuipers and Gerald (Vonnie) Kuipers; two sisters-in-law: Bertha Kuipers and Joann Kuipers all of Platte, SD; along with many nieces, nephews and their families. Adeline was preceded in death by: her parents; her infant sister, Bertha; her sister, Nina; and three brothers: Henry, Harm and George
