Morrow Buried Sunday Many Gather to Honor Well Known Woman Sunday The sudden passing away of Mrs. Adella Morrow early Wednesday morning, December 24th, was a shock to the immediate family and t the entire community. She had been assisting in her home as usual, mingling with neighbors and friends until the last few days when she grew tired, the work was finished here and she has gone to her long home. Adella J. Frizzell was born at Wabash, Ind., June 26, 1857, and died at her home in Tekamah, Nebraska. December 24, 1930 at the age of 73 years, 5 months and 28 days. She came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Frizzell, to Glenwood, Iowa, when only two years old. At the age of 10, her parents moved to Plattsmouth, and it was there, later, she was united in marriage to Mr. Rozzel Morrow, March 25, 1874. In 1895 Mr. and Mrs. Morrow moved to Burt County, Nebr., and settled on a farm 10 miles north of Tekamah, on the Decatur road. There it was the family of children grew to maturity. Mrs. Morrow and her family were always in all the activities of the community. Their influence was always wielded for he best interest of everyone. In 1911, Mr. and Mrs. Morrow moved to Tekamah, where the family continues to reside. Nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Morrow, four of whom predeceased the mother, Edmon, Wren, Roy, and Hallie. Her husband passed away November 1, 1917. She is survived by one son, Lawrence Morrow, four daughters, Mrs. Viola Grothe, Misses Anna, Lillian and Hazel Morrow, all of whom reside in Tekamah. She also leaves to mourn her demise, one brother, Colonel Frizzell in Kansas, three sisters, Mrs. James Swope and Mrs. Hugh Brown both of Oakland, Iowa, Mrs. Minnie Newton of Salem, Ore., also fourteen grandchildren. Mrs. Morrow was one of the pioneer women of strong individuality with high ideals. She was a quiet unassuming person, with a neural sweetness of disposition, which caused her to be loved by everyone. She endeavored to be a living example day by day in her family of he Christian ideals, she was instilling in their minds from infancy. Her interests centered in her home and her family, radiating to the larger circle of neighbors. Mrs. Morrow has gone from our midst, but her influence will love on, a guiding light for others to follow, as she followed in her Master's footsteps. The funeral services were held at two o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church, where a large concourse of relatives and friends gathered to pay their last tribute of respect to one they loved. The Woman's Relief Corp held their funeral services preceding the sermon by the pastor, Rev. D.A. McCullough, who spoke words of comfort to the bereaved and gave a beautiful eulogy of the departed mother. Favorite hymns were sung by Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Johnson with Mrs. Chas. Gate accompanied. There was an abundance of beautiful floral offerings, which bore silent testimony of their love and esteem. Interment was made in the Tekamah cemetery in the family plot beside loved one gone before. She was gently laid to rest by Messrs. S.E. McCurdy, H.N. Marsh, Daniel Fischer, H.E. Valder, A. R Kokes, and O.H. Valder Those from a distance were Mrs. James Swope, Mrs. Hugh Brown both of Oakland, Ia., Dr. and Mrs. Bert Morrow, Dr. J. Morrow and Mrs. Effie Banning all of Seward, Tracy Davis of Weeping Water; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Drake, Roy Morrow and family, Jesse Morrow and family all of Modale, Ia.; Mrs. and Mrs. Lon Davis, Sloan, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Crewdson, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Shaw all of Council Bluffs, Ia.; Elmer Davis and family, Miss Viola Hipp of Lyons. .
