Description	:	Adena Tschetter, age 86, of Huron, went home to her Savior on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at the Dougherty Hospice House, Sioux Falls. Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Emmanuel Church, rural Doland. Burial will be in the Emanuel Mennonite Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Kuhler Funeral Home, with her family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening. Adena Waldner was born June 21, 1930, to Martin and Maria (Hofer) Waldner. She attended Carpenter School, Willow Lake High School and Madison College of Teaching. She was baptized and became a member of Hutterthal Mennonite Church, Carpenter. On August 30, 1949 she was united in marriage to Alvin Tschetter and transferred her membership to Emmanuel Mennonite Church, Doland. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school there for many years and was faithful to her church. She held Bible study for women in her home for several years. Adena and Alvin enjoyed volunteer work for James Valley Christian School mailings, South Dakota Child Evangelism Fellowship and at the Mail Box Club National Headquarters in Warrenton, Missouri. She enjoyed the many hunters that stayed at their home. She cooked and made sure they were comfortable while Alvin did the guiding. Everyone was always welcome to stop at their home for a treat and coffee. She loved having company. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Making noodles was a highlight for all of them. Of course, the walks outdoors, four wheeler rides and making decorated mud pies were always fun. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvin; three brothers, Jacob, Martin and Mike; six sisters and their husbands, Anna (Edwin) Hofer, Elsie Hofer, Katie (Elard) Glanzer, Evelyn (Peter) Decker, Lydia (Gehard) Hofer and Esther (Elgin) Hofer. Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Twila (Vic) Gross of Hitchcock and Nita (Myron) Tschetter of Warrenton, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jana (Bryon) Norby of Sioux Falls, Alahna (Brian) Lester of Tacoma, Washington and Joelle (Jordan) St Clair of St. Peters, Missouri; one great-grandchild, Kiah Kae Norby of Sioux Falls; one brother-in-law/sister-in-law, Ben (Agnes) Hofer of Huron; and many nieces and nephews.
