Description	:	D.A. Collins died in a local hospital near Cornelia, GA on May 8, 1932 at the age of 65. His obituaries stated he had been living in that city for the past two years and was a candy salesman who was native to South Carolina, where he had lived in Central, Easley, and Piedmont for a number of years. Pace, Orangeburg; Mrs. Broadus Collins, High Point, NC; and Miss Florence Collins, Easley; seven sons, H.F. Collins of Piedmont; Walter Collins of Greenville; S.H. Collins of Liberty; Adolphus Collins and Hubert Collins of Spartanburg; Curtis Collins of High Point, NC; and Elmer Collins of Charlotte, NC. Also survived by eight sisters, Mrs. W.H. Ellenburg, Liberty; Mrs. A.W. Durham, Mrs. Tom Miller and Miss Mamie Collins of Greenville; Mrs. B.P. Powell of Easley; Mrs. James Anderson and Mrs. Gordon Lollis of Fair Forest; and Mrs. C.M. Crain of Taylors; and six brothers, C.C. Collins of Ft. Payne, AL; L.W. Collins, F.J. Collins, and D.E. Collins of Greenville; E.F Collins of Six Mile, and O.D. Collins of Central. His funeral was held on Tuesday, May 10, 1932 at the Jones-McAfee Funeral Home chapel in Greenville. Services were conducted by Rev. C.L. Harris and assisted by Rev. S.W. Jolly. Burial: Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central. Pallbearers listed were all named as grandsons: Charles Collins, J.C. Pace; (G)omer Vaughn; J.M. Grant, Wade Grant, and Heywood Scott. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Sitton, Jim Ballentine, J.T. Hutchinson, Jim Wyatt, E.L. Bolt, J.T. Black, Earl Ragsdale, and Mr. Free. ************* Son of J.W. Collins & Elizabeth Rice Collins. First wife was Margaret "Maggie" Monte White Collins, to whom he was married around 1884-1885. She was the mother of all of his children except two. She died in 1907. Second wife was Lillie Harper Collins m. @1907. She was the mother of two of his children, and passed away in 1912. Third wife was Sarah Leannah Littleton Wilson Collins m. @1913 - apparently later divorced since she died in 1954, well after Dolph died in 1932; listed as Collins and widow of D.A. Collins on death certificate and Collins in obituary but buried under her first married name Wilson. No children were born to this union.
