Lindsay The death occurred in the Rosamond Memorial Hospital, Almonte, on Monday, May 28th, following an illness of six weeks, of Agnes Byers Clint, wife of Mr James E. Lindsay. She was in her 85th year and was born in Smiths Falls, a daughter of the late William Clint and his wife Janet Hall later of Almonte. Deceased was married to Mr James Lindsay in 1925 in this town where he operated a grocery business at the corner of Union and Queen Streets for 37 years, when he retired in 1947 and since lived on Church Street. She was a former member of Trinity Methodist Church and continued un that congregation after union and when Trinity and Bethany Churches joined to form one United Church in Almonte. There remains to mourn her passing her husband, one daughter Elizabeth (Mrs Edward LeMasitre) and five grandchildren, Beverly, Betty, Teddy, Curry and Janey of Carleton Place. The funeral was held from the Comba Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon to the Auld Kirk Cemetery. Rev J. Ray Anderson pastor of the United Church officiated.
