Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 4, at St. Bernadette's Church. The Rev. Dennis Martin will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., today, with a rosary at 4:00 p.m., and wake service at 6:30 p.m., at the church. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home, West Branch, is in charge of arrangements. Agnes Ellen Baker was born June 27, 1910, in Cedar Valley, Iowa, the daughter of Frederick and Margaret (Murphy) Baker. She married James Driscoll on November 22, 1932. He preceded her in death in 1954. She later married Galo Stroppel on September 27, 1986. He preceded her in death in 2002. She was a homemaker for much of her life, raising 10 children. She was later employed as a teacher's aide in special education with Tipton Schools for nine years. She was a member of St. Bernadette's Church, the St. Joseph's Club and the Women of the Moose for 49 years. She enjoyed playing cards, embroidery and visiting with family and friends. Survivors include seven daughters, Margaret (Paul) Heick, Rosemary Sexton and Marcella (Tom) Budreau, all of West Branch, Patricia (Juergen) Knoop of Iowa City, Regina (George) Schreiber of Solon, Carol Moore of Lawrence, KS, and Lorna (Michael) Fletcher of Tipton; three sons, James (Barb) Driscoll of Cedar Rapids, Francis (Janet) Driscoll of Iowa City and Daniel Driscoll of West Branch; 31 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two step-children, Gaylinn Parks of Island Park, IL, and John Stroppel of Nichols. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, an infant daughter, two sons-in-law, one granddaughter, one brother, and four sisters. Henderson-Barker Funeral Home
