Elnor stayed and married Jimbob Albert, her sister Tilly stayed and married William W. Anderson while the rest of their family went back to Kingston, PA. A school teacher in Long's Shops public schools, lay preacher, writer, (one novel, "Alice Rayden ,or Weighed In The Balance" New York: Broadway Publishing Co c. 1910,and pulp fiction stories) played the piano and organ at the Union Methodist Church, midwife, who devoted considerable time to community affairs. Her son, my great Uncle Milton Lorrain (Rain) related that as a small child he accompanied his mother on several occasions when serving as midwife to neighboring families around Long's Shop, Montgomery Co. VA. She devoted 53 years of her life to church work. She was Sunday school superintendent and taught Sunday school class for 53 years. Mrs. Albert had charge of all work of the young people of the community and held story hour for the public schools each week, and all the entertainments of the church. She was a librarian for the "Bookmobile" as well. From letters and several short stories written in her own hand that I have in my possession, I can attest she was a spiritual guide to my Grandfather Robert Hart Wall Sr., whom adored her and was devastated when she died. I have letters between them when he was on his own as a lad, years before coming home and marrying her daughter. In the letters she reminds him to stay a good Christian and to do unto others. Her short stories always have a moral at the end. She was much beloved and respected, I wish I had known her.
