Description	:	Agnes Frame was born in 1793 in Lanarkshire, Scotland. She was the eldest child of Robert Fram and Janet Turnbull. Agnes married John McNaughton in New York City around 1817. The couple had a son named Daniel who was born in 1821 in New York. John McNaughton died between 1821 and 1829. Agnes' second marriage was to David Currie (1789-1857) on April 30, 1829. She was the eldest child of Robert Fram and Janet Turnbull. Agnes married John McNaughton in New York City around 1817. The couple had a son named Daniel who was born in 1821 in New York. John McNaughton died between 1821 and 1829. Agnes' second marriage was to David Currie (1789-1857) on April 30, 1829. Records show that the marriage took place at the Dutch Reformed Church in Greenwich Village, NYC. The couple had two sons, both born in New York, NY: Thomas Currie (1831-1899) and Hugh Currie (1832- 1920). According to the obituary of Agnes' sister, Margaret Fram Laidlaw, the Currie family travelled to Rochester, NY in 1832 to stay with the Laidlaws. In December of 1832, David and his brother-in-law, Alexander Laidlaw made their way to Mono, Ontario and began to set up the homestead for their families. They returned to Rochester in the spring of 1833 and took their families to settle in their new homes in Dufferin (then Simcoe) County. The 1861 Ontario Census lists Agnes Currie as widowed and living with her son Thomas in Mono, Dufferin, Ontario. The 1871 Ontario census has her living in the household of her son Hugh Currie and his wife Martha Turnbull. Several of Agnes' siblings also left Scotland and settled in Dufferin County (including John Fram, Hugh Fram and Margaret Fram Laidlaw). Agnes died in 1876 in Mono, Ontario at the age of 82. Her son Daniel McNaughton is listed as informant on her death certificate. (*Note: the spelling on the name Frame is listed as both Frame and Fram in different sources).
