| Description | : | David Currie was born in 1789 in Paisley, Scotland. He emigrated to the USA as a young man and arrived in New York City. On April 30, 1829, David married the widow Agnes Fram (m.McNaughton) in the Dutch Reformed Church in Greenwich Village, NY. The couple had two sons, both born in New York City: Thomas Currie (1831-1899) and Hugh Currie (1832-1920). In 1832, historical documents show the family making thier way to Rochester, NY to stay with Agnes' younger sister, Margaret Fram Laidlaw (1802-1903).
