She was born on May 23, 1927 to the union of Jerry Maricle, Sr. and Katie Strother Maricle in Rapides Parish. She was a Baptist by faith. She loved to quilt, sew, loved plants, flowers and the world's best cook. She also loved being surrounded by photos of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her parents, Jerry and Katie Maricle, one brother, Cully Maricle, two sister, Beulah Russell and Helen Thompson and two granddaughters, Heather LeeAnn Thompson and Hope Thompson precede her in death. Mrs. Agnes leaves behind her family to cherish her memories, her loving husband of sixty years, Carson Thompson of Pitkin; four sons, Harold and wife Julia Thompson of Union Hill, Jeff and wife Carolyn Thompson of Prairieville, Artie Thompson of Oakdale and Dariel and wife Rita Thompson of Boyce; two daughters, Patricia Ann and husband Morris Weldon of Pitkin and Frances Brooks of Pitkin; one brother, Jerry Maricle, Jr., of Pitkin; three sisters, Virginia Hamilton of Leesville, Emma Ferrier of Shreveport and Bobby Peters of Kentucky; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
