"She married Frank Krotz on February 23, 1886. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1915. "Survivors include three daughters, Lena Krotz, Mrs. Anna Horak and Mrs. Milada Hora; two sons, Frank and Roy Krotz; 21 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Anna Chansky, Rock Island and Mrs. Emma Fesler of Arkansas City, Kansas." She had not been well for the past four years. "Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 1959, in the Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Lloyd Latta in charge. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. "Mrs Krotz was born October 22, 1862 in Dobric, Czechoslovakia, a daughter of John and Anna Linnhart Sojka. She came to Iowa with her parents in August of 1865 and attended rural schools here. She was married Feb. 23, 1886 in Jackson Township to Frank Krotz. He died June 27, 1915. "Survivors include three daughters: Lena, Mrs. Ann Horak and Mrs. Milada Hora; two sons: Frank and Roy Krotz; 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Also surviving are two sisters: Mrs. Anna Chansky of Rock Island and Mrs. Emma Fesler of Arkansas City, Kansas. "Three sons, three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death."
