She passed away January 9, 1989, at the Fillmore County Hospital, at age 78 years, 9 months, and 23 days. Read More	KOAHLER, AGNES TERESA—Agnes Teresa Koahler, daughter of Vaclav James Verjraska Sr., and Anna Jaros Verjraska, was born March 16, 1910, on the family farm near Milligan. She passed away January 9, 1989, at the Fillmore County Hospital, at age 78 years, 9 months, and 23 days. Agnes attended rural school, District 43, and Milligan High School, graduating with the class of 1927. Having received her Normal Training Certificate, she taught school in Rural Districts 1 and 43 for three years Frank J. Koahler and Agnes Teresa Verjraska were united in marriage of February 26, 1935, and to this union two children were born. They resided on a farm southeast of Geneva for 54 years. In 1942 Agnes became a member of the Chelsea Woman’s Club and held various offices throughout the years. She and Frank joined the Geneva Community Grange 403 on March 18, 1953. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Julia Krisl, Anna Laun, Albie Hamouz, and Emma Strauss; three brothers, James, Joe, and one who died at the age of six months. She is survived by her husband, Frank, daughters, Donna Schelkopf and husband, Stanley, of Geneva; and Pat Dudley of Lincoln; four grandchildren and three-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the Farmer & Son Funeral Home, Geneva, Thursday, January 12, with the Rev. Cal Leeds officiating. Bernita Lomax accompanied Kelly Eich who sang “The Old Rugged Cross” and “He Hideth My Soul.” Pallbearers were Scott Schelkopf, Luke Lemke, Arthur Campbell, Marvin Roit, Lavern Verjraska and Bob Engle.
