Description	:	Albert Burner (died 14 Jan 1913), age about seventeen years, son of Jackson Burner of Overall, was fatally injured Tuesday night while making his way on a freight from Charles Town to his home. He was found about seven or eight o'clock Tuesday evening lying on the cattle guard near the rock crusher at Limeton and had been injured but a short time before. Read More	Albert Burner (died 14 Jan 1913), age about seventeen years, son of Jackson Burner of Overall, was fatally injured Tuesday night while making his way on a freight from Charles Town to his home. He was found about seven or eight o'clock Tuesday evening lying on the cattle guard near the rock crusher at Limeton and had been injured but a short time before. He was still conscious and lived a few hours, dying about 10:30 o'clock. It is supposed that he was struck by the cattle guard and knocked off the train. One of the spikes entered his neck and the other the back of his head. He bled profusely but no bones were found to be broken. Other boys from his neighborhood are said to have been with him on the freight but none seem to know the exact manner of his death. Young Burner's funeral will take place in the Union church Rileyville today. He belonged to highly esteemed family. His other is a sister of John M. Miller of Rileyville and Levi Miller of Overall. Found Dead on Cattle Guard Mr. Al Burner was found lying by the side of the main track of Norfolk & Western Railway, near Limeton about 18 miles north of Luray, last Tuesday night about 7:30 o'clock. The young man was on his way home having ridden on a freight train from Charles Town. Whether he fell or jumped from the train will probably never be known. When found he was lying across a cattle guard, barely alive. He was conveyed to the home of his father, Mr. Jackson Burner of Burner's bottom, where he expired about 11 o'clock the same night. His funeral was held at Rileyville on Friday and was conducted by Rev. P. L. Snapp of Luray. He was about 18 years old
