Description	:	The Kramer community was shocked Monday afternoon by the sudden death of Albert Heitman, 40, an industrious farmer, who lived four miles southeast of Crete. According to Mrs. Heitman, a son, Elvin, went hunting early Monday afternoon. Mr. Heitman told his wife he intended to join his son later and took a light shotgun and went down to the barn to turn the horses out. Read More	The Kramer community was shocked Monday afternoon by the sudden death of Albert Heitman, 40, an industrious farmer, who lived four miles southeast of Crete. According to Mrs. Heitman, a son, Elvin, went hunting early Monday afternoon. Mr. Heitman told his wife he intended to join his son later and took a light shotgun and went down to the barn to turn the horses out. Shortly after he left the house his wife heard the sound of a shot from the barn. Running down to the building she found Mr. Heitman shot through the right temple. A Crete physician was summoned and stated that death was instantaneous. Mr. Heitman was born September 26, 1897 in Lancaster County, on a farm four miles southwest of Kramer. He was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Kramer of Kramer, March 31, 1921. The deceased spent his entire lifetime in the Kramer community, where he made many friends and was considered a very successful farmer. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; two sons, Elvin, 15, and Leon, 12, both at home; his father, H.F. Heitman; and a brother Louis Heitman of Kramer. His mother and a sister preceded him in death. Private funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete. Rev. W.M. Pebler officiating. Interment was made in the Kramer Lutheran Cemetery.
