In 1850, at age 4, his father was employed as a lumberman and had real estate worth $4000 and they lived in Schroon, Essex County, New York. His grandfather, John More born 1786 in Scotland lived with them with his grandmother Millison, born 1809 in New York. In 1852, at age 6, his mother Sophronia died at age 33 while they lived in Shippen, McKean County, Pennsylvania. In 1854, at age 8, his father married Charlotte T Fuller on 5 Sep. His step mother, Charlotte, died of consumption in 1860 when Albert was 14. That same year Albert's father, Levi was a lumberman and had real estate worth $50,000 in Shippen. In 1861, at age 15, his father had flood loss of $100,000 in Shippen. In 1862, at age 16, his father remarried a third time to Harriett M Kline on 14 May. In 1869, at age 23, he moved to his uncles in Beloit, Mitchell County, Kansas when health was failing in Pennsylvania on physicians advice. In 1875, at age 28, Albert was a farmer with real estate valued at $2000. In 1876, at age 30, Albert married Anna Emily Payne on 2 Oct in Lincoln, Johnson County, Nebraska. They had six children: Frank John (1878-1954), Nellie S (1881-1933), Robert Ferguson (1883-1971), Albert Curtis (1844-1911), Mabel "Billie" (1889-1967) and Eugene Harlow (1894-1954). In 1880, at age 34, he was listed as a farmer in Elk, Lancaster, Nebraska where Anna's brother Curtiss worked as a farm hand. In 1883, at age 37, they moved to Kingman, Kingman County, Kansas in the Spring. They purchased 153 acres for $191 from Charles Dyer and Albert continued his work as a farmer. In 1888, at age 42, he conducted a livery stable for a few years and then in 1888 he engaged in a grain, feed and implement busines until 1892, when he returned to farming until 1897. In 1897 he was elected by a vote of 345 to 258 to be Kingman City Marshall for one year paying a monthly salary of $40 per month and elected again the following year as well. In 1899, at age 53, he and Annie, were the 11th and 12th persons confirmed in the New Christ Church in Kingman. In 1905, at age 58, he as engaged in farming. This census was completed by his brother in law, J. S. Payne. In 1920, at age 74, he lived with daughter Mabel and son-in-law Perry Eaton, as well as John and Margaret in Liberal, Seward County, Kansas. Albert died of pneumonia in 1930 at age 83 on 27 May. He is buried next to his wife, Anna in Walnut Hill Cemetery and his death is registered in the Christ Church registry.
