BATTLE CREEK ENTERPRISE; Battle Creek, Nebraska; Thursday, October 3, 1946; front page RITES FOR ALBERT NELSON Funeral Services Held At Meadow Grove, Burial Made Here Many relatives and friends from Battle Creek attended the funeral of Albert Nelson, killed in an automobile accident Thursday near West Point, which was held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Meadow Grove, the Rev. R. O. Louthan, pastor, officiating. Pallbearers were Elwood King, Alpha Saltz, Ted Werner, and Ernest Weaver, Meadow Grove, and Miner Varilek, and Elmer Praeuner, Battle Creek. Burial was made in Union Cemetery at Battle Creek. The deceased, 34 years old, was born in Battle Creek, March 14, 1912. He attended the Battle Creek school and after leaving here he spent several years in Omaha. He was married to Miss Maxine Snodgrass of Omaha, March 20, 1934, and since 1941 had lived on a farm near meadow Grove. He became a member of the Methodist church of Meadow Grove in 1942. Mr. Nelson is survived by his wife; three children, Delores, Albert Jr. and Roger; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nelson, Battle Creek; and six sisters, Mrs. May Pilkens, Omaha, Mrs. Ted Hinzman, Battle Creek, Mrs. B. Hinzman, Owanka, S.D., Mrs. Walter Werner, Galva, Iowa, Mrs. Clarence Murphy, Omaha, Mrs. Kenneth Davie, Venice, Calif. Another sister, Mrs. William Whetstone, preceded him in death.
