Mr. Doering was a son of Henry and Anna Doering, and was born in Jackson Township near Amber, May 28, 1873. He grew to young manhood near Amber and was never married. The major portion of his active life was spent in farming. He made his home with his mother in Monticello until her death which occurred in 1929. Since that time he had made his home with his sisters near Amber. His death occurred Sunday, October 6 at 9:30 a.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bohlken. He had been in failing health for six months. He is survived by three sisters; Mrs. Dick Bohlken and Mrs. Will Zimmerman of Amber, and Mrs. John Rickels, Monticello.
