He was 59 years of age. He grew to manhood in the community north of St. Paul and received his education at District 21 and St. Paul High School. Read More	The Wolbach Messenger, August 31, 1972, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Albert Thomsen was born on a farm north of St. Paul on September 11, 1912 to Peter and Christina (Jensen) Thomsen and was fatally stricken with a heart attack while at work at Omaha, Nebraska on Friday, August 25th. He was 59 years of age. He grew to manhood in the community north of St. Paul and received his education at District 21 and St. Paul High School. On September 4, 1937 he was married to Lavern Silk at Grand Island, Nebraska. They farmed north of St. Paul until 1948. The family moved into St. Paul and after a time moved to Selah, Washington. They returned to St. Paul in 1952. He was employed at the Ordnance plant in Grand Island after which he established a septic tank business. In September 1959 he purchased Louie's Cafe and operated it until July 1961. Mr. and Mrs. Thomsen moved to Omaha where he was employed by Frank Merwald & Sons Sheet Metal Company for 10 years. He was recently employed at Roberts Sheet Metal Company where his death occurred. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith and later became a member of the Presbyterian church. He affiliated with the Masonic lodge No. 82 A.F. & A. M. at St. Paul, Eagles, FOE No. 154 at Omaha, Nebraska. His parents, a sister Marie and five brothers, George, Andrew, Thomas, Henry and Lawrence all preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Lavern, a daughter Mrs. Jerry (Charlene) Van Hooser; three grandchildren all of Omaha; his three sisters, Mrs. Ted Andersen of Hastings, Mrs. Emma Martin of San Diego, California and Miss Clara Thomsen of St. Petersburg, Florida, many other relatives and friends.
