Thomsen was born on a farm north of St. Paul on July 4, 1914 to Peter and Christina Jensen Thomsen and died in Grove City, Ohio on August 7th, after suffering a severe heart attack. Thomsen was born on a farm north of St. Paul on July 4, 1914 to Peter and Christina Jensen Thomsen and died in Grove City, Ohio on August 7th, after suffering a severe heart attack. He was 54 years of age. He attended school in District 21, St. Paul High School and the St. Paul Business College in St. Paul. He was employed in Omaha until he entered the service of his country on May 2, 1942 at Fort Crook, Nebraska. He served overseas in the army in Grave Registration and was honorably discharged on September 12, 1945 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Wood at Cleveland, Ohio on April 15, 1946. They lived in Seattle, Washington where he manufactured and sold septic tanks. They moved to Grove City, Ohio in 1950 where he again manufactured the septic tanks. Lawrence was baptized in the Lutheran faith, was a charter member of Grove City Kiwanis Club; a member of Scottish Rite, Grove City Lodge F and AM 168, a member of the Aladdin Shriner and the VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, George, Henry and Thomas and one sister, Marie. He is survived by his wife, Margaret and son Larry Jr. of Grove City, Ohio; two brothers, Andrew of Hastings and Albert of Omaha; three sisters, Mrs. Ted (Anna) Anderson of Hastings, Miss Clara Thomsen in St. Petersburg, Florida and Mrs. Emma Martin of San Diego, California.
