Description	:	Albert Edward Hites was born August 30, 1864, on the farm home at Hitesville, the son of John C. and Mary Ann Hites. He passed away at the same farm home, Monday, March 7 at 5:35 p.m. Mr. Hites attained the age of 84 years, 6 months and 7 days. He is survived by his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Frank Jacobs; two granddaughters, Shirley and Donita Jacobs all of Hitesville; also one sister Mrs. Josephine Trimble of Dumont Preceding him in death, was an infant son, his parents, four brothers and two sisters. Mr. Hites entire... Read More	Albert Edward Hites was born August 30, 1864, on the farm home at Hitesville, the son of John C. and Mary Ann Hites. He passed away at the same farm home, Monday, March 7 at 5:35 p.m. Mr. Hites attained the age of 84 years, 6 months and 7 days. He is survived by his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Frank Jacobs; two granddaughters, Shirley and Donita Jacobs all of Hitesville; also one sister Mrs. Josephine Trimble of Dumont Preceding him in death, was an infant son, his parents, four brothers and two sisters. Mr. Hites entire life was spent on the home farm with the exception of 16 years spent in Waterloo. He accepted Christ as his personal savior in 1887 and became a member of the United Brethren Church at Hitesville, and held his membership there until it's a disbandment. He was in poor health for several years, suffering from stomach ulcers, and on November 6th suffered a heart attack which confined him to his bed until the time of his death. Funeral services were held Thursday March 10, at the Kesley Presbyterian church with Reverend heart Harold Knight, pastor the Graves Memorial United Brethren Church at Waterloo, officiating. Burial was in Hitesville cemetery.
