The young couple left late in the afternoon for Deweese, where they will make their home on a farm. ============================================= Clay County News (Sutton, NE), Thursday, April 14, 1977; pg. 7 Albert Vap Clay Center - Albert Enos Vap of Saint Libory, passed away Sunday in Perkins Pavillion of Good Samaritan Village of Hastings at the age of 75 years. He was a native of Deweese, where he farmed until moving to Hastings. In 1850 he moved to Glenvil where he made his home until moving to Saint Libory four years ago. He was a member of Saint Libory Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Bessie of Saint Libory, two sons, Melvin of Deweese, Dennis of Glenvil; two daughters, Mrs. La Veta Chambers of Whicita (sic), Kans., Mrs. LaVon Brouillette of Saint Libory; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; three sisters Mrs. Christine Aylwin, Lincoln, Lincoln; Mrs. Helen McLaughlin, Edgar; Mrs. Doris Trexler, Paulsboro, New Jersey; two brothers, Theodore Vap, Salem, Oregon and George Vap, Hastings. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 6, 1977, at 10:00 a.m. at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Clay Center, Nebraska. Rev. Larry Gyhra?? officiated. Mrs. Lawrence Harms was organist. Pallbearers were Edgar Brouillette, Tony Lukasek, Mike Vap, Wayne Colburn, Rocky Embert and Roy Vap. Interment was in the Fairfield Cemetery, Fairfield, Nebraska. McLaughlin Funeral home was in charge.
