Albert married Mary Ann Larchick July 23, 1953 in Eddyville NE. He worked as a land surveyor for Van Doren-Hazzard Stalling from 1955 to 1989. After retirement he worked part time for Max Baker for 17 years. Albert is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Leathers, Topeka; two sons, Anthony Leathers, Golden CO, Terry "Knuck" Leathers, Topeka; three daughters, Nancy Smith and her husband, Greg, Kelli Jannelle and her husband, Mike, Julie Hrenchir and her husband, Dale, all of Topeka; Albert is also survived by three brothers, John Leathers, Bill Leathers both of Amherst NE, Frank Leathers, Topeka; 13 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David Leathers in 1978; a brother, Leo Leathers; two sisters, Lillian Leathers and Marie Leathers. Family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka KS 66614. A graveside service will be Monday at Mount Calvary Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to the donor's choice sent in care of the funeral home.
