Agnew Dickerson, who preceded him in death. On March 27, 1948, he married Helen V. Spradlin, who survives in Lima. Agnew Dickerson, who preceded him in death. On March 27, 1948, he married Helen V. Spradlin, who survives in Lima. Mr. Dickerson retired as a sheet metal worker in 1991 from Asbestos Sheet Metal & Roofing, Lima. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 and the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 224, Dayton. He was also a member of the First Assembly of God, where he served as an usher. He truly loved the Lord and is rejoicing with Him now. He loved going to church. He served as a paratrooper with the U.S. Army. He was a loving husband, dad and papa who enjoyed fishing, boating and gardening. Survivors also include a son, Albert "Sonny" Dickerson III, of Lima; three daughters, Brenda (David) Goodwill, of Lima, Carolynn "Sue" (Ken) Graham, of Lima, Cathy (Rod) Qualls, of Kodiac, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren, Roger, Jennifer, Scott, Tabatha, Ashlee, Tiffany, Stephanie, Albert IV, Steven, Darin, Cain, Nikki and Luke; 20 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jim Dickerson, Russell Dickerson and Roger Dickerson; one sister, Helen Howell; one daughter-in-law, Jackie Dickerson, of Lima; and a pet dog, Joy. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, Wayne and an infant; and one sister, Lucille. Services begin at 10 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God, Lima. Pastor Randy Davis and Pastor Jerry Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum, where graveside military services will be performed by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. Friends may call from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis-Eastside Chapel, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Angels for Animals.
