He finished the "6th grade reader" which today is about the 6th grade. He helped farm on his dad's farm and worked for neighbors in the fields. Albert married Eleanor Kroeger a school teacher, on February 23, 1925 at Sacred Heart Church in Templeton, Iowa by Monsgr. Huesmann. They moved March 1, 1925 to their farm 2 miles west... Read More	= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Albert Heithoff was born on a farm south of Roselle, Iowa. He received his education at Holy Angels School in Roselle, Iowa. He finished the "6th grade reader" which today is about the 6th grade. He helped farm on his dad's farm and worked for neighbors in the fields. Albert married Eleanor Kroeger a school teacher, on February 23, 1925 at Sacred Heart Church in Templeton, Iowa by Monsgr. Huesmann. They moved March 1, 1925 to their farm 2 miles west of Elgin, Nebraska which had been bought by his father Barney years before. There they raised 7 children, 5 girls and 2 boys. Besides farming, Albert raised cattle and hogs. His hobbies consisted of tinkering with machinery, welding and being mister fix it man. He enjoyed sports and attended all events wether they were of Parochial or Public school or simply the town team. He was an avid fisherman and would never turn down an invitation to go fishing. He and Eleanor went on many touring tips of their own by car in the United States. His musical ability consisted of dabbling at the piano and playing violin. Albert died suddenly from a massive heart attack on April 8, 1967 at his home. Eleanor stayed on the farm a year and then moved into the town of Elgin 3 blocks from St. Boniface Church where she still resides. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
