Death resulted from the effects of a paralytic stroke which the deceased suffered on May 1st, which left him in a weakened condition and although his affliction caused him considerable suffering, he bore it with remarkable patience and reconciliation. During his lingering illness he was nursed by a daughter, Mrs Lysle Reed, who was constantly at his bedside to do everything possible to lighten his suffering. The deceased, during his residence in this community, had made the acquaintance of a large number of friends and was a man who would go out of his way to help anyone in need or distress. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from St Johns Epsicopal Church, the last rites of the church being pronounced by his pastor, Rev Dean R Johnston Thomas, interment being made in the American Legion Cemetery. The deceased was preceded in death by his loving wife, who passed way on June 14 following a brief illness. He leaves to mourn his passing from this world three daughters, Mrs Lysle Reed, Mary Reynolds and Mrs George Pabian and two sons, Edison Herron and Albert Riemenschneider, all of whom were present at his bedside. One sister, Mrs Arhens of Marshalltown, Ia. and a nephew and niece, Mr and Mrs E Riemenschneider. Obituary Albert C Riemenschneider was born in Brunswick, Germany in 1862 and died September 1st, 1929 at the age of 67 years. When but a mere lad he came to the United States and a young man came with the early settlers to Cherry county where he lived until the time of his death. In 1900 he was married to Martha Wilson Herron. To this union two children were born; Mrs George Pabian and Albert Jr; both of whom survive the deceased.
