Description	:	Bert Leach, son of Sarah and Harvey Leach, was born November 13, 1888, at Arcadia, Nebraska, and departed this life April 12, 1961, at a hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 72 years, 4 months, and 29 days. He moved to Arthur county in 1915, where he homesteaded and began his ranching business. He was united in marriage to Dagmar Jensen December 3, 1920, and to this union were born four children: Winifred, Wilford, Jean, and Willard. Read More	Bert Leach, son of Sarah and Harvey Leach, was born November 13, 1888, at Arcadia, Nebraska, and departed this life April 12, 1961, at a hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 72 years, 4 months, and 29 days. He moved to Arthur county in 1915, where he homesteaded and began his ranching business. He was united in marriage to Dagmar Jensen December 3, 1920, and to this union were born four children: Winifred, Wilford, Jean, and Willard. In 1941 he moved with his family to his ranch south of Johnstown, where he was active in ranching until his retirement in 1955. Mr. and Mrs. Leach then moved to Ainsworth. Bert was baptized in the Christian Church as a young boy and became a member of the Methodist Church of Johnstown, where he has been very active in all the work of his Master. He served as vice president of the Board of directors of REA and has been a member of the Brown County Fair Board since 1941. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Willard, two sisters and two brothers. He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife, Dagmar; two daughters, Mrs. Warren Walz of Ainsworth and Mrs. Jack Buckingham of Valparaiso; one son, Wilford of Ainsworth; nine grandsons and two granddaughters. Also two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Smith of Oakland, Oregon, and Mrs. Pat Hiser of Burwell, Nebr., and four brothers, Erwin of Lewellen, Nebr., Hubert and Rulan of Burwell, Nebr., and Leland of Arcadia, and many other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church in Johnstown April 15. Burial was in the Ainsworth cemetery. Contributor: #47226369
