Erwin Edwin Leach, better know to his friends and acquaintances as "Buck," passed away Wednesday, January 29 at the Oshkosh community hospital. He was born at Arcadia to Harvey and Sarah Leach March 28, 1890. He was 73 years, 10 months and one day of age at the time of his passing. He was united in marriage to Pauline Koberstein August 25, 1919. The couple made their home in Arthur where he operated a garage. He also homesteaded a farm in Arthur county. In 1925 they moved to the south table where he farmed until his retirement in 1961. They then moved to Lewellen and resided there until his death. To them were born three children, Marlyss Andreasen of Erie, Pennsylvania and Jack Leach of Lewellen. One of the children died at birth. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Pauline, his two children Marlyss and Jack, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers, Hubert of Burwell and Leland of Arcadia, one sister Louise Heiser of Clarksville, Arkansas, many nephews, nieces and other relatives and a host of friends. He became a member of the Lewellen Methodist church March 23, 1953 and has been an active member of that church. Pallbearers were Wilbur [?]enewein, Merle Frazell, Harry Tilgner, Jake Kats, Clayton Brunt and Harold Widner. Burial was in the Ash Hollow cemetery. Attending the funeral of Mr. Leach from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. I. E. Andreasen and Janice of Erie, Pennsylvania. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Andreasen of Kennard, Mrs. Anna Schilling of Antelope, Oregon, Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Koberstein of Denver, Gary Koberstein of Orange, California, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Jillson of Omaha, Mrs. Ruland Leach of Burwell, Douglas Leach of Burwell, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Leach of Arcadia, Mrs. Bert Leach of Ainsworth. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Walz of Ainsworth, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Hannan and Pat of Grand Island, Mrs. Pearl Koberstein of Harvard, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Koberstein Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Koberstein of Oshkosh.
